What Information We Collect
When you use PrayerGuide.ai, we collect:
- Prayer Requests: The text you enter describing what you'd like to pray about
- Usage Data: Basic analytics like page views (no personal identification)
How We Use Your Information
Your prayer requests are:
- Sent to Anthropic (Claude AI), a third-party AI service, solely to generate a personalized, Scripture-based prayer
- Not stored in any database after your session
- Not used to identify you personally
- Not sold or shared with third parties for marketing
Third-Party AI Service
PrayerGuide.ai uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate prayers. When you submit a prayer request:
- What is sent: Only the text of your prayer request and your selected Bible translation preference
- Who receives it: Anthropic (anthropic.com), the provider of the Claude AI service
- How it's used: Solely to generate your prayer — not for training AI models
- Retention: Anthropic may briefly retain data for abuse monitoring per their policies, then deletes it. PrayerGuide does not retain your prayer request after the response is delivered.
- Your consent: You are asked to provide explicit consent before any data is shared with Anthropic. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app or clearing your browser data.
Anthropic's privacy practices are governed by their own Privacy Policy.
Text-to-Speech Service
When voice guidance is enabled, the AI-generated prayer text is sent to Lemonfox, a third-party text-to-speech service, to produce audio playback. Only the generated prayer phrases are sent — not your original prayer request. This audio data is processed in real time and not stored by Lemonfox or PrayerGuide.
Third-Party Data Protection
All third-party services used by PrayerGuide.ai — including Anthropic (Claude AI) and Lemonfox (text-to-speech) — are required to provide the same or equal protection of user data as described in this privacy policy. These services process data solely for the purposes described above and do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
Data We Don't Collect
We do not collect or store:
- Your name or email (unless you create an account in the future)
- Your location
- Your prayer history
- Any payment information
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for:
- Remembering your consent preferences
- Basic site functionality
We do not use tracking cookies or sell cookie data.
Children's Privacy
PrayerGuide.ai is suitable for all ages. We do not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13. No account, name, email, or identifying information is required or collected. If you believe any personal information has been inadvertently provided, please contact us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Use PrayerGuide.ai anonymously — no account or sign-up required
- Withdraw your consent at any time (see below)
- Request information about data we may have
How to Withdraw Consent
You can withdraw your consent to data sharing at any time by:
- On iOS: Delete the PrayerGuide app from your device. This removes all locally stored preferences, including your consent.
- On Android: Delete the PrayerGuide app or clear its data via Settings → Apps → PrayerGuide → Clear Data.
- On the web: Clear your browser data for prayerguide-ai.com, or use your browser's "Clear site data" option.
Once consent is withdrawn, the app will prompt you to review and accept the data sharing disclosure again before any data is sent to third-party services. No data will be shared without your explicit permission.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. Your prayer requests are transmitted securely and not stored after processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
